What is a Mac TV? Les us just say that this is a one of the product that was developed by the Apple Company that is quite popular also among millions of loyal consumers not only in the country but also in other parts of the globe. The Apple TV or the Mac TV is a digital media receiver that has changed the way people views TV. This device has put the user viewing experience to another level. The Apple TV is one of the wide range of innovative product that is developed and sold solely by the Apple company like the i pad 1 and 2, iPod and five generations of i phones.

This product of ingenuity is a small network appliance, essentially several inches long and would weight more or less six pounds. The Mac TV is designed to play digital contents coming or originating from the i tunes Store, MobileMe, Flickr, YouTube, Netflix, MLB.tv, NBA league pass, and the new feature for the Apple TV the  NHL GameCenter. The device also plays digital contents of any Mac OS X or any Windows computer running i tunes. There are two generations of the Apple TV. The first generation was released in the year 2010 and the second one 2011 month of December. This is another brilliant idea from Apple.

The second generation Mac TV was even better.  With several new options that they user can choose and access. With integrations like the new NHL GameCenter, the Apple it will be a device like no other. The second generation Apple TV also makes use of the i cloud and has the Photo Stream feature. The device also can stream not only photos, but any content from the i tunes and could play videos from the computers or any device that has the iOS through Airplay. The AirPlay is another new feature that will be available for the second generation Apple TV that is release just this year.

What are the advantages of the Apple TV?

• Sports – viewers are always updated with the country’s favorite sports like the MLB, NBA and now the NHL. Sports fans can access their team’s scores, schedules, standings, news, and game highlights through Mac TV. Missing a game due to inevitable circumstances is not a problem anymore because they can watch the games that they have missed. The recent addition to these features was the NHL GameCenter. The feature also has similarities with the MLB.tv and the NBA league pass. The menu will display a list of games in the artwork browser, including scores, and games that are completed and in progress.

• Business world and economy – the recent advantage that the Mac TV is the service of the Wall Street Journal Live or the WSJ live. This allows users to view live programming depending on it availability at that time. The feature allows the viewer to access past programs that they have missed. They can view programs and show by categories. They are remarkably easy to access because contents are presented in the same way to other sections on the Apple TV. All videos presented in an artwork view and the recent and popular contents are highlighted. This innovation has changed the users viewing experience.

• Gaming – although the Apple Company does not make an emphasis on the gaming like what it did in the previous device, the Mac TV has attractive potential in the future. Apple’s rivals do not have the recent capabilities. The iOS games and the i pad 2 and IPhone 4S, the recent releases of the Apple had show signs of potential games. Including gaming as one of the advantages may premature yet, the Apple has always surprised the market and its competitors. Looking at the capabilities of the Apple TV and its AirPlay mirroring feature, Apple may surprise the gaming industry, again.

• Technology – Apple has the better technology, which is obvious. The Mac TV has the power and the capabilities of flexibility. The company changes the market’s viewing experience. The user will have the advantage that the device will have more advantages in the future with just a little upgrade and so on. The company surprise companies and networks, Apple have changed the way things are done in the television company. The Apple Company becomes the leader in the connected TV player industry through better technology and features. Only a small percent of the household owned a connected TV player and apple dominate it competitors.

What are the Apple TV’s recent features?

The Apple Company with its Mac TV once again adds remarkable features to its innovations and technology. The Airplay Mirroring which allows the user to wirelessly stream what is on their iOS devices. Users now can show it to their families and friend in their HDTV. The Photo Stream allows the user to instantly push photos from their iOS devices in i cloud. The Trailers feature is a little bit unique; it allows users to browse through hundreds of the latest theatrical trailers. The National Hockey Leagues which is quite similar to leading sports services like the MLB.tv and NBA league pass, it allows the use to view score and highlights. The WSJ Live for business commentary and analysis of economy experts.

Apple has once again change the scenery in the market, now with its second generation Mac TV, the company and its partners have change the way consumers watch TV. Years ago the company has changed the scenery in the music and mobile phone industries forcing giant companies to adapt to the sudden changes. The apple company is truly unpredictable. The changes that are happening right now are already envisioned by the man behind the company Mr. Steve Jobs. The Apple Company has been working on prototypes for years and finally has come up with this excellent device that has changed the way people watch TV.

Apple has not come up or developed a TV, but they change the television industry. Nobody knows the future of the current technology of Mac TV whether apple would developed a truly TV set unlike the current device that will be plug into the set. Loyal consumers are always surprise by the innovations that the company has come up over the years. A lot of analyst says that apple is developing something that will have frictionless integration with the other apple devices and services. Apple might be developing a TV with voice control like what they did with the iPhone 4S with the technology called the SIRI.
